Article
Appointment of Jean-Christophe Taret (Full member) and Sandra Cortese (Alternate) to Veolia’s Board of Directors.
April was a month of significant milestones for our employee shareholder community. Between the appointment of your new representatives to the Board of Directors and the first meeting of Veolia's Stakeholders' Assembly, these two key events further consolidate our position within the Group.
Your Representatives on the Board of Directors (2026-2030)
Veolia’s General Meeting was held on April 23, 2026, in Aubervilliers. We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all employee shareholders for their unwavering trust and mobilization. Thanks to your commitment, the representation of employee shareholders on Veolia’s Board of Directors is now official for the next four years. With 99% of shareholder votes, the 7th resolution was adopted by a very large majority:
- Appointment of Jean-Christophe Taret: He will serve on Veolia’s Board of Directors as the Director representing employee shareholders for the 2026-2030 term.
Sandra Cortese has been appointed as the alternate for this strategic position. This team’s mission will be to bring the voice of all employee shareholders to the heart of Group decisions, ensuring that their interests remain central to the Group’s development strategy.
Focus on the 1st Stakeholders' Assembly On April 9, 2026, the first edition of Veolia’s Stakeholders' Assembly took place. During this meeting, Veolia gathered 34 representatives from the five stakeholder categories that form our ecosystem: customers, shareholders and financial partners, society (suppliers, insurers, dialogue ecosystem representatives), employees, and the planet (experts, NGOs, future generations). Jean-Christophe Taret, representing employee shareholders, participated actively, highlighting the essential role of employee shareholders in this new dialogue platform.
Thinking together about the Group’s utility and impact The objective of this first assembly was to work together on a concrete challenge: wastewater reuse, a key solution to the water shortages already affecting millions of people. The 34 members signed a collective commitment on water security and access, sharing their perspectives to promote the large-scale deployment of practical solutions.
